We heard that Corner Bistro has some great burgers, and my New York bible, er, guidebook confirmed this.
This hole in the wall looking burger joint was found in hip area of The Village.
I read there can be long lines at the Corner Bistro, but LUCKILY per Christy's need to have dinner at absurdly early hours of the evening there wasn't a wait at all!
If you like great all-American burgers, this is the place for you.
Thick, juicy burger meat with your basic toppings- cheese, lettuce & tomato.
A very unpretentious burger served on a flimsy plastic plate.
The service was lighting fast quick and the atmosphere very low-key.
According to my New York bible, this was a one $ joint- but we found we still ended up spending $30.00- two burgers, two fries, two drinks & tip.
Consulting the bible on the most touristy places to see in the area.
75 1/2 Bedford St.
The narrowest house in New York, and I would venture to say that it may also be the narrowest house in the United States.
The "Friends" Building.
The Village is so very hip with an excess of picture worthy shots...

Those burgers look AMAZING! If you like authentic Italian/NY Style pizza, go to Grimaldi's in Brooklyn. That place is AWESOME! I think I should plan a little trip up your way... that would be so fun to hang with you!
I have heard really good things about Grimaldi's but haven't made it there yet. I am also in agreement that you should make a little trip to NYC. So fun!
yummmm. please keep posting nyc outings and restaurants that you try -- maybe it will make me feel less intimidated by that city next time i visit.
and great photo of the two of you!!
wow I don't even like burgers and that made my mouth water a little bit :) We miss you in Ithaca! But it looks like you're having a great time in the city!!
Hey! Brandon here. Super cute blog! I followed the link from natthfatrat. We need to hang out and do the flea market and Grimaldi's so you can take pics and say "These are our cool friends the Holbrooks. They are the cat's pajamas!" Something like that!
Brandon, Grimaldi's & a flea market sounds like a superb idea. Let's do it! And I would LOVE to have a blog post about our new cool friends, the Holbrooks- who are by the way the cat's pajamas. Love it!
yeah that you guys have a blog. and I have always wondered where the "Friends" building was. Where is it?
