My family came to visit back in September and we packed in as much as possible- Ellis style. Meaning, we always start the day late and with a very loose plan, take our time and make plenty of stops for food and drinks.
My brothers.
They were really great sports about all the sight-seeing and days of walking- as long as we kept them fed and hydrated! : )
The cemetary behind the St. James Chapel- which still holds items from 9/11.
The American/Chrysler pride.
Luke has a great love of books and here he is looking through some books at the 9/11 Visitors Center. This kid is going to be a smart guy- he reads a ton and loves knowledge. How awesome is that?
At the 9/11 Visitors Center.
A picture of the pre-9/11 Manhattan skyline.
This is the current construction site where the twin towers used to stand. Their plans for the new buildings and areas look phenomenal. If I am remembering correctly, they took submissions from individuals all over for the design of the buildings and grounds and choose a waterfall design. I will be excited to see the finished product.
A slice of pizza at Rigaletto's on the Upper West Side.
This is where we saw Chris Rock- Matt said me, "That guy over there looks just like Chris Rock." I took a look and agreed, "That IS Chris Rock." We all tried to play it very cool but couldn't help sneaking as many looks as possible. He seemed like a regular nice guy just trying to grab a slice of pizza.
We also spent some time in the Financial District checking out
Wall St.
Mr. Clegg looking hot and handsome in front of the
New York Stock Exchange.
It is amazing that we got any pictures here without any people
walking in front. It was super busy with people but I guess
they understand the need for tourist types to get their
pictures and were very accommodating.
I can almost see Connor- give him another year and he will be towering over us. : )
I love the bird on the statue's head.
The Merrill Lynch bull
It was crazy getting pictures of this bull. There were so many people- I wish we had gotten a picture of the crowd around the bull.
I couldn't resist including this picture.
Only in Manhattan.
The Statue of Liberty!
We found Jace's family!
William Clegg.
